herbade electrolyte-rich tea blend
2 oz
organic oatstraw, organic peppermint leaf, organic hibiscus flower, organic nettle leaf
how to: infuse 1 tbsp herbs in 1 cup of room temperature water in a glass jar out in a sunny spot for up to all day. or alternatively, infuse in 1 cup of just boiled water for 30 minutes. strain into another glass vessel.
tip: I like making a large batch of infusions with this one to feed the entire house or to drink all by myself through the day. so I usually infuse 4 tbsp herbs in a 32-oz glass mason jar in the sun!
then to make it gatorade-like (super charged with electrolytes): for every 2 cups of infusion, add 1/2 tbsp honey, 1/8 tsp high quality Himalayan pink or sea salt, 2 drops of Trace Minerals ConcenTrace Drops, lemon and/or lime wedge squeezes. optional: a splash of organic coconut water. then chill in fridge!
*hibiscus is full of Vitamin C rich antioxidants, an immune-boosting group of nutrients that has protective effect against free radicals, making this a great one to drink when you’re out exercising and breathing in pollutants
*nettle, oatstraw and peppermint are nutritive powerhouse herbs that contain Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Iron, Zinc, and Vitamin C
*hibiscus, oatstraw, and peppermint are in a herb class called ‘refrigerant’, which means (you guessed it!) they contain constituents that have an ability to cool down the body temperature
